Pepe Mendoza, is a winemaker with Training at the School of Viticulture and Enology of Requena (Valencia). It is already the second generation Bodegas Enrique Mendoza.

During his studies he made different international placements in Chile, Argentina, New Zealand and Australia.

In the year 2000 Pepe Mendoza won the Best Young Winemaker of the Valencian Community and Best Young Winemaker in Spain prizes.
From his hands are born the iconic wines of the province of Alicante such as Santa Rosa and the two Alicante wines that are receiving the best scores for the prestigious publications Wine Advocate by Robert Parker and Decanter as “Estrecho” and “Las Quebradas” with 94 and 95 points.

Bodegas Enrique Mendoza is the only winery in Alicante to host Grandes Pagos de España (Great Vineyards of Spain).

In our beginnings in Bodegas E. Mendoza, we bet on international varieties and the use of technology. Currently, our native varieties such as Monastrell, Garnacha and Moscatel Romano take center stage with the purchase of more hectares of these varieties.
