Mustiguillo is a family winery founded in 1999 and led by Toni Sarrión. In the highlands of Valencia at some 850 meters above sea level you find its 87 hectares which form a single vineyard situated immediately around the El Terrerazo winery. The climate is Mediterranean, featuring cold winters and cool summer nights. The soil is a blend of clay with a limestone crust. Toni opted right from the beginning for a rebirth of the native grape Bobal. To do this he combined traditional untrained vines with some modern training practices in the vineyard. He employs an integrated farming style, with wines made solely from his own grapes. Since September 2010, Mustiguillo is officially the first single vineyard estate in the wine region of Valencia. The IGP Vino de Pago El Terrerazo guarantees the uniqueness of the wines and details the parameters that determine its quality.
